PC Bottleneck Calculator
Check if your CPU and GPU are well-matched. Find out which component is holding back your gaming performance.
What is a PC Bottleneck?
A bottleneck occurs when one PC component limits the performance of another. In gaming, this usually means your CPU can't keep up with your GPU (CPU bottleneck) or your GPU can't render frames fast enough for what your CPU can handle (GPU bottleneck).
CPU Bottleneck: Common at lower resolutions (1080p) where the CPU has to process more frames per second. Upgrading your CPU or increasing resolution can help.
GPU Bottleneck: Common at higher resolutions (4K) where the GPU has to push more pixels. This is actually the ideal scenario — it means your GPU is being fully utilized.
Balanced: Both components are well-matched for the selected resolution. This is the sweet spot for a new build.
